Well, I’m not saying it’s going to be enjoyable, but when finances demand that I not take any unpaid leave – it makes it a little easier to contemplate. I do plan on going to see the wee one at lunch every day if possible. And even more fortunately, Jack & Charles seem (at least at this point) to be very amenable to some flexibility for me – since working from home really ain’t gonna fly. (I can’t be taking timesheets and invoices home with me, ya know?)

Way to go on the daycare! I’m glad to hear it. Good luck with it – as much as the finances suck, I’m glad I’m at home with Kara for now, as just thought of dropping my baby girl off at daycare when she’s still a baby sends me into a near panic.

That’s great that you found someplace so nice so close to work so you can drop by during the day. The more time you can spend with the baby, the better.
