As a big lady who went C section I can say that Physical recovery was pretty easy. Even my mom, who was also big and who you know has healing problems was up and about in a week. post partum depression wise was a different story, but given my history I could have been bound for it anyway. 39 weeks was perfect for me, though. 7 lbs 9 oz, and I was lucky enough to have labor start on it's own (and to get happy drugs after a reasonable amount of time).

He sounds awesome! I loved my ob too, just a great person all around. Just wait till the baby is out and endorphines are flying - then you will REALLY love your ob! (Oops, I didn't say that out loud I hope!)

That makes sense. My diabetic sister had big babies (and 5 c-sections).
